Honors and awards

- SAMUEL JAY KEYSER has been awarded the 2025 Wilbur Cross Medal by the Yale Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. The Wilbur Cross Medal, awarded annually each fall, is the highest honor the school bestows on its alumni. Keyser is professor emeritus of linguistics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and editor in chief of the journal Linguistic Inquiry.
- BRIAN JOSEPH has been honored with the Brian D. Joseph Endowed Chair in Classics at College Year in Athens (CYA), endowed by a recent alumni donation. The chair, named in recognition of Joseph’s many contributions to the study of the Greek language, will bring a leading scholar to CYA to teach for up to three years. (2025)
