LBA SIG -> LEXING SIG

For historical reasons, the LSA began 2026 with two bodies focused on the opportunities for linguists in industry, non-profits, and government – the Linguistics Beyond Academia Special Interest Group and the LEXING track at the annual meeting. To signal a new era of recognition of the breadth of linguistics application and employability at all ages and stages, the LBA SIG has become the LEXING SIG. This webinar is the official announcement of this development, a discussion of its consequences, and an invitation for participation in future activities.
