Webinar: NSF Funding Through a First-Generation Lens
This webinar is a collaboration between the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) and the First-Generation Access & Equity committee in the LSA. The Directors for the Linguistics and Dynamic Language Infrastructure – Documenting Endangered Language Programs at NSF, Dr. Rachel M. Theodore and Dr. Jorge Valdés Kroff, will lead a panel discussion on the NSF application process with graduate students and junior faculty in mind. While the focus will be on the first-generation experience, we believe the whole linguistics community will be able to benefit from this event. Some of the topics that will be covered include support in the grant-writing process, exposing the “hidden” curriculum, aligning proposals with target audiences, grant cycle timelines, and different funding mechanisms.
