Assistant Professor - Computational Linguistics
The University of Vermont seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Computational Linguistics with a research agenda that focuses on critical applications of language-related technologies (LLMs, Voice Assistants, automated voice interfaces, etc.) towards addressing social problems (including racial disparities, gender inequities, and more). The position will start in Fall 2025. 

Applicants must hold a PhD in Linguistics or a related discipline with strong skills in computational social science and/or data analytics. Candidates must have a promising publication record, potential for extramural funding, and excellent teaching and mentoring skills. The successful candidate will develop a vigorous research program and actively seek extramural funding, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and advise undergraduate and graduate students, in addition to professional contributions and service.
