It seems to be the case that a disproportionate number of linguists become university administrators with positions above the rank of department chair/head/director. We invite all such administrators---at the college and university levels--to join us for coffee and conversation at the LSA Annual Meeting in San Francisco (Saturday, 5 January, 8:30 - 10:00 AM in Regency A) to meet and decide if there are reasons to establish a more permanent group of linguist-administrators. You will be asked to fill out a short (promise!) questionnaire, and the results will be reported at this gathering to start the discussion.
