Web Advisory
2006
Background
Established in January 1999 as Web Editorial Board. Name changed in 2002.
Responsibilities
The Committee is charged with monitoring the Society's website, giving general editorial oversight, and supporting the website Editor. Committee members may, among other things,
1. provide feedback regarding format changes2. suggest additional materials for the site
3. develop a policy for the addition and deletion of materials (e.g. when items go up, how long they stay up, if and when they should be revised/updated)
4. review new materials for appropriateness
5. advise on other web issues as needed
6. provide liaison with other websites of interest to the LSA.
Membership
One member of the Executive Committee, three other LSA members, and the Chair of the Committee on Computing. The Editor of Language is an ex-officio member.
