Background
Established in 2003.
At the 2001 Annual Meeting, an informal steering committee formed to establish a collection of video presentations about language created by linguists and accessible on the web to general public. They developed a website and later presented a workshop at the 2002 Annual Meeting to demonstrate the video project.
Responsibilities
The Video Archive Committee was established to oversee the web project.

Ad hoc. Members with interests in the following: publicity; language, popular culture, and the media; language in the news, social/political language topics; sign language; language in the schools.
