2002 LSA Annual Meeting: Preregistration. Unemployed members may preregister or register on-site at the student rate (see center insert).

2002 LSA Annual Meeting: AV Equipment Policy. Meeting rooms will be equipped with two microphones, an overhead projector, and a screen. The cost of one additional piece of equipment such as a tape recorder or VCR (subject to availability) will be covered if the Program Committee determines that the equipment is integral to the presentation.

Salary Survey. The results of this spring's salary survey are now available. Copies were sent to all department and program chairs in May and may be requested from the Secretariat as well.

Liz Hogan, Executive Associate for Membership at the LSA Secretariat, will be leaving the staff after nearly 14 years of dedicated service. The Officers and Executive Committee recognized her many contributions and competencies with a resolution of appreciation approved by acclamation at the 6 May 2001 meeting. We all wll miss Liz and wish her every success as she returns to the classroom as a history teacher in Prince Georges County, Maryland.
