Slate of Candidates for 2006

At its January 2005 meeting, the Executive Committee nominated Gregory Ward (Northwestern U) to serve as Secretary-Treasurer and Brian Joseph (OH SU) to serve as Editor. The Nominating Committee (Susan Fischer, chair; Barbara Abbott; Joan Bybee; Louis Goldstein; Sharon Inkelas; David Lightfoot; and Shana Poplack) submits the following slate of members to stand for election in August 2005: Vice President/President-Elect: Stephen Anderson (Yale U); for Executive Committee: Peter Culicover (OH SU); James Huang (Harvard U); Monica Macaulay (U WI-Madison); and Johanna Nichols (UC-Berkeley).

If ten or more members separately and in writing nominate any additional personal member for any position by 1 July 2005, that name will be added to the mail ballots submitted to the members. Nominations should be sent to: Nominating Cte, LSA, 1325 18 St, NW, Ste 211, Washington, DC 20036-6501.
