All applicants who are currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program in the U.S. must submit
GRE scores. If your scores are less than 5 years old, an official GRE score report is
required. If your scores are more than 5 years old, an unofficial (photocopied) GRE
score report is acceptable. For applicants who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate
or Masters program in the U.S., or for applicants enrolled in a graduate program outside
the U.S., GRE scores are not required, but if they are available, applicants are
strongly encouraged to submit them (officially or unofficially). Non-native speakers
of English who have not completed a degree at an English-speaking institution must
also submit TOEFL or IELTS scores.

You should check with your institution to see how much time is required to process a transcript request.

VI. Language in the USA Fellowship
This fellowship is made possible through the generosity of Charles A. Ferguson,
Shirley Brice Heath, and the many authors who have contributed their royalties
from Language in the USA . The award will be given to a Linguistic Institute
participant engaged in research on the language situation in the United States ,
with preference being given to study of the structure and/or use of minority languages.
Participants will be eligible for the award so long as they are registered for at least
eight credits at the Institute.
